UCAOA Announces New Fall Conference |

In response to many, many requests, UCAOA is adding a new Fall Conference, October 6-7, 2006, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Meet the Urgent Care Medicine Fellows
UCAOA is pleased to introduce the first three fellows accepted into the first ever fellowship in Urgent Care Medicine at the University Hospitals of Cleveland. This fellowship is the result of a collaboration between the Department of Family Medicine University Hospitals of Cleveland / Case School of Medicine, the Urgent Care Association of America, and University Primary and Specialty Care Practices, Inc. and is the first fellowship of its kind in the USA and represents an innovative approach to provide the additional training necessary to meet the demands of one of the fastest growing specialties—Urgent Care Medicine. Dr. Allison D. Parkman graduated from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and completed her family medicine residency at Baton Rouge General. She has experience with two urgent care centers starting in 2005 in Louisiana. She is a member of UCAOA and the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Sadhana Sharma graduated from the Ghandi Medical College in Bhopal, India and completed her family practice residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. She also completed an MPH degree at Northern Illinois University. She has experience with urgent care at a clinic in Ilinois. She is a member of UCAOA and the American Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Shelly Verma graduated from New York Medical College and completed her family medicine residency at Mountainside Hospital (Atlantic Health System) in New Jersey where she was active in the academic committee and research activities focusing on ambulatory disease management.
