The 2009 Urgent Care Convention has come and gone and it's time to save the date for 2010 in Orlando!

Thanks to everyone who made the Las Vegas meeting a success - it was great to see everyone and from the evaluations it looks like you thought it was a terrific program!

2010 will be even better - we look forward to sharing those details with you this Fall.

Certified Professional Collector Trainer - NEW - April 20 - AGENDA

  • The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association brings their Certified Professional Collector Trainer (CPCT) Course on specimen collection procedures to UCAOA's Convention
  • The objective of the Certified Professional Collector Trainer® (CPCT) program is to provide instruction and resource material to enable the trainer to develop and teach a collector training program that will deliver information to fellow company-employed collection personnel, helping them become proficient in providing collection services according to industry regulations and standards, that ensure the privacy, integrity, and security of the donor and the specimen.
  • Designed for experienced specimen collectors (or supervisors) - must have 100 collections or 6 months of experience
  • Includes Specimen Collection Manual and Certification Examination

Integrating Occupational Medicine - April 20 - AGENDA

  • All new for 2009, this program covers all you need to consider before adding occupational medicine services to your urgent care practice: understanding the service, benefits to urgent care, market potential, clinical training & certification issues, clinical equipment and policies required, working with employers, workers compensation billing issues, selling your new service, the role of therapy, and managing downstream referrals

Comprehensive Clinic Startup - April 20 & 21 - AGENDA

  • Updated for 2009, this 2-day comprehensive program has all you need to know to start up a new urgent care center:  site selection, managed care contracts, setting up your clinic, staffing & operations, obtaining financing, developing policies & procedures, urgent care billing and marketing your center

Cancellations received after April 4th are non-refundable. 

Cancellations received between March 20th and April 3rd, there's a 20% penalty (or only $75 if you want to keep your money on hold with us for later use). Please call us if you have questions.

Continuing Medical Education
This activity has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 18 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

CEU's for Coding Professionals
This program has prior approval of The American Academy of Professional Coders for 8.0 Continuing Education Units. Granting of this approval in no way constitutes of the Academy of the program, content, or the program sponsor.

All course materials and handouts for the Main Convention will be available ONLINE before and after the meeting, so you will download only what you need.  

We will not be printing and distributing course materials for the Main Convention sessions.

Because Main Convention attendees get a choice of 4 programs an hour, 75% of the materials were effectively going to waste.
