About the Urgent Care Association of America

Founded: 2004
Membership: 3200+ members in the US, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Mexico and New Zealand. UCAOA has both individual and practice members
Mission: The Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) exists to provide leadership, education and resources for the successful practice of urgent care.
Main Activities:
Educational Programs - clinical and practice management, via conferences, self-study, Fellowships, and monthly Journal of Urgent Care Medicine
Resources - benchmarking studies, topical articles, clinical guidelines, and members-only resources (templates, job descriptions, sample forms)
Leadership - criteria for Certified Urgent Care, accreditation partnership with the Joint Commission, legislative initiatives, H1N1 pandemic planning
